I have ongoing relationships with a number of independent design studios, who create the design style for exhibitions that I programme and arts initiatives that I’m involved with.

Here are some examples —

For Helena de Pulford’s solo exhibition ‘Simnel’, I commissioned exhibition design from SE London based Studio Hyte – the brief was to draw reference from the animated world of Popeye, which Helena references in her sculptural works. Helena and I worked with the studio team to select and develop a font, illustration and animated style for online, print and display assets.

For the group exhibition ‘Unbound Surplus Aggregate’, I commissioned exhibition design from London based Dateagle Studio – the brief was to draw consider the show’s theme of otherworldly bodily and identity experiences, and mapping an alternative human terrain. I worked with the studio team to select and develop a font, design and animated style for online, print and display assets.

I was responsible for overseeing and directing the redesign of the website for the studio collective of which I am a member of, and worked with Berlin-based Short Notice Studio to achieve this. The brief was to take the wealth of affiliated artists, as well as the current studio holders, and bring all this information together in a coherent and cohesive place. Drawing from analogue Swiss archiving methods, the new website and design style for Collective Ending delivers a contemporary and organised method of display for our work, cataloguing our ongoing creative endeavours effectively on desktop and mobile.
